Mainline traffic stoppages and Exit 45 ramp closures to occur overnight this week
One stoppage per night and closure of Exit 45 northbound on-ramp for CMP line relocation
PORTLAND, Maine – On the evenings of Tuesday, May 5th and Thursday, May 7th, 2020, turnpike mainline stoppages at Mile 45 and closure of the Exit 45 northbound on-ramp will occur for CMP line relocation activities. Both nights, one stoppage of up to twenty minutes will occur between the hours of 10:00 PM and 12:30 PM. During the stoppage, the Exit 45 northbound on-ramp will also be closed.
All work is weather dependent with Friday, May 8th scheduled as a contingency date. Motorists should prepare for delays during the timeframe stoppages are scheduled to occur. Message boards will be in place to inform approaching travelers of the stoppages, and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) broadcasts on 1610 AM will also be used to inform drivers. The Maine Turnpike Authority appreciates motorists’ patience and understanding during this construction.
