Gregory J. Stone
Mr.Stone has been Director of Public Safety & Special Services since 2005. He directs the operation of the MTA Traffic Management & Communications Center and manages the MTA's relationship with the Maine State Police and other providers of emergency services to the turnpike, including the coordination of the MTA's efforts in Traffic Incident and Emergency Management. He has administered the MTA's Highway Safety Patrol Program since its 2016 inception and oversees MTA motorist services, including contracts for concessions at the five 24-hour turnpike service plazas.
Mr.Stone attended the University of Maine and the University of Southern Maine, from where he holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy and Management through the Muskie School of Public Service. He is a graduate of the Operations Academy Sr. Management Program as well as executive programs at Babson College and Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
