Maine Turnpike Authority Releases 2025 Annual Report

The Maine Turnpike Authority (MTA) has published its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting a year of strengthened service to the people of Maine.

With the arrival of Executive Director Andre J. Briere, Colonel, USAF (ret). in April 2025, the agency launched a new strategic framework and undertook a comprehensive assessment of its business processes, technology systems, cybersecurity, communications, and organizational culture. At the core of this work is a clear guiding principle: We Serve Maine.

In his opening letter, Executive Director Breire outlines four priorities shaping MTA's direction: enhancing the customer experience, empowering staff, expanding the use of data and technology, and deepening public engagement.

The 2025 report highlights progress across all four areas, including:

A major milestone featured in the report is the opening of Exit 35 in Saco—the first new turnpike interchange in a generation. The project improves safety, eases congestion, and supports economic growth in one of Maine’s fastest growing regions, reflecting MTA’s commitment to thoughtful infrastructure investment and community service.

The report also includes a summary of 2025 investments, financial and traffic highlights, and recognition of the employees who keep the Turnpike safe and reliable for millions of travelers each year.
